Green Energy > R-Value
The following information is about R-Value.
R-Value Defined
Describes the insulating property of materials on a scale of 0 to infinity, with 0 being a perfect conductor of heat. As the number goes up, so does the resistance to heat transfer. R-value per-inch is the measured resistance of heat flow per each inch of material, for example, aluminum has an R-value per-inch of 0.00090125, fiberglass has an R-value per-inch of about 3. Total R-value is the measured resistance to heat flow of a material. An entire wall set-up would have a total R-value based on the materials used.
